Jersey Pride
New Jersey’s 32nd Annual Statewide LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration will be held in-person on Sunday, June 2nd 2024. As always, we have been working closely with the host city of Asbury Park to ensure the safety of all participants. It is the largest, and oldest, LGBTQ Pride Celebration in the garden state, with attendance under normal circumstances surpassing 20,000.
The Pride Festival provides an opportunity for community groups and businesses to distribute a wide variety of information, including job opportunities, housing options, family issues, disease prevention and screening, sources of support for victims of violence and abuse, legal rights and services, and the availability of support for issues that the queer community faces. This family (and pet) friendly event also features NJ’s largest outdoor display of the Names Project’s AIDS Memorial Quilt, rides in our Family Zone, and an array of eating options at our food court.
Delaware County Pride
We want to continue the celebration of Pride in Delco! There will be a variety of activities that involves all ages as we did last year. We will also have kid-friendly activities, as well as vendors, music, a DJ, dancing, face painting, nail painting, and other fun activities to be announced!
Our previous Pride Festivals in Upper Darby in 2021 and 2022 have been a huge success growing to include over 120 vendors and thousands of attendees! This year we are returning for the second annual Delaware County Pride Festival! Delaware County’s inaugural Pride Festival last year was a historic success and this year will be returning in front of the Upper Darby Township Building on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
This festival will continue to be free to the community with no admission charge, however we do ask that all attendees consider donating as this event is not cheap and we do our best to rely on community donations and your support.
This year in addition to providing ample opportunities to vendors, volunteers, performers, and more, we are expanding programming across the county! Stay tuned for a big announcement regarding other Pride events, including our very first Delco Pride Parade.
